News Flash!!God loves you-just you very,very much."Greater Love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13. Christianity is a relationship - not a membership! In the old testament God had already written us a letter; but now in the new testament - he has come down for a visit - Jesus - the word made flesh.He loved us so much that he died for, and because of, our sins. This is the beginning of the new covenant mentioned in Hebrews 8:10. Please look that up and read it. I'm going to assume you already know John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." That long word whosoever means you are one of those Christ died for. He didn't leave anybody out! As soon as you believe how much God loves you, you will begin to change to please him.It is your heart that changes;your actions will take a while.Read Matthew 16:15-18: "And I say also unto thee,That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." We all know that Peter nearly drowned when he tried to walk on water, and he denied Christ 3 times; but Jesus saw his belief and knew his heart was on the mend. Is yours? Try reading Hebrews.
