God's Better Idea

God has a better idea. Do we always act like we know that fact? I have to say no.
In my prayers I'm always telling God to please hurry up and fix things! Do it my
way; this is what I think needs done. Thankfully, I believe God must laugh at my
childlike advice.
If I had been Shadrach, Meshach or Abed-Nego; I know I'd have expected God to
do something before that firey furnace! Of course these guys just expected to die
to be true to God.Then they found themselves walking around in the fire. God rewarded
them and really got the king's attention. Just read this in Daniel 3.
Gideon was badly outnumbered by his enemy. What crazy sounding advice did God
give him? Just read it in Judges 7. What was God thinking?
Another "What was God thinking" moment for you, just read Joshua 6. Only God
could defeat an enemy with marching and music!
God keeps on bewildering us all through the bible. Who would promise an elderly
gentleman he would become the father of a great nation? Only God, we would
have done it different.Genisis 12
God sent the best gift ever not gift wrapped at all! Not like you and I would do.
Luke 2:1-6
This month's memory verses say it best:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him.
And he will direct your path.
Proverbs 3:5&6
To remember this is a proverb with 4 steps. The number 4 is left out of the
location. See you next month. Keep reading your bibles!
